WHAT IS THE PIP?

The Pip is a wireless biofeedback device which detects electrodermal activity (EDA). It works together with apps on your smartphone or tablet to help you measure, understand and with regular use learn to manage stress. 

WHY WOULD I WANT TO TO VISUALISE MY STRESS LEVELS?

By visualising your changing stress levels, you can try different techniques to control it.

WHERE CAN I BUY THE PIP?

The PIP is available to purchase here via our website. It is also available on amazon.co.uk and amazon.com. 

WHY WOULD I WANT TO DE-STRESS?

There are many health problems linked to stress, these include; Heart Disease, Headaches, Depression and Anxiety, Gastrointestinal Problems and Accelerated Aging. Using Pip to manage your stress levels can help with these related conditions. 

WHAT MAKES THE PIP DIFFERENT?

Cutting edge design, ease of use, scientifically proven and the inclusion of our free companion apps. 

WHAT IS ELECTRODERMAL ACTIVITY?

Electrodermal activity (EDA) is the electrical activity of the sweat glands in the skin. When we are stressed, When we are stressed, we sweat more – increasing our skin’s electrical conductivity. Fingertips are the best place to measure the skin’s response to stress.

WHAT DOES THE PIP MEASURE?

The Pip measures stress levels using Electrodermal Activity.

WHAT APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR USE WITH THE PIP?

We currently have three companion apps. Relax & Race, The Loom & Stress Tracker. With many more to come in 2016.

WHAT IS THE COST?

The Pip costs $179, this includes; The Pip, Companion Apps & access to My Pip

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE BOX?

The Pip includes; Carry case, Micro USB charger cable and User Guide.

CAN I SHARE MY PIP WITH MY PARTNER, FRIEND, OR COWORKER?

Yes, each user can of the Pip create their own My Pip account. When they launch a Pip App they’ll be prompted to log into their account, which is where all their Pip session data will be stored.

IS PIP A MEDICALLY CERTIFIED DEVICE?

The Pip has been scientifically proven to assist with stress relief, it has received FCC approval. As the Pip is a consumer device aimed at personal health and well-being, there is no need for it to be medically certified.

WHAT KIND OF SENSORS DOES THE PIP USE?

The PIP has two precision engineered gold plated sensors, this ensures for maximum sensitivity for detecting EDA.

HOW DO I PAIR THE PIP WITH MY DEVICE?

When you first receive your Pip, the green indicator light will blink, this mean The Pip is already in pairing mode. The next step is to download one of our companion apps off of either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and follow the on-screen instructions.

HOW DO I PAIR THE PIP WITH A SECOND DEVICE?

To pair the Pip with a second device, you will need to place the Pip into pairing mode, please view this video.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PIP IS PAIRED AND CONNECTED?

The blinking indicator light will change to a solid green and your Pip will display as connected within the companion app.

CAN I USE OR PAIR MY PIP WHILE IT IS CHARGING?

Yes

WHERE IS MY DATA STORED?

Your data will be securely stored and encrypted on your mobile device and on our HIPAA compliant cloud server

CAN OTHER USERS ACCESS THIS DATA?

Only you will have access to the data stored on your device or in the cloud.

ARE YOUR DATA PRACTICES HIPAA COMPLIANT?                                    

Yes, we are fully HIPAA compliant.

 

Compatibility And Accessibility

WHAT DEVICES ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE PIP?

Pip supported devices include: Apple – iPhone 4S and higher, iPad 3 and higher (including iPad mini); Android devices running Android Jelly Bean(4.1) or higher.

 CAN I DOWNLOAD AND USE PIP APPS ON MULTIPLE DEVICES?

Yes, as our apps are free to use, you can install them on multiple devices.

WILL PIP WORK WITH MY DESKTOP OR LAPTOP COMPUTER?

The Pip will only work with our supported iOS and Android devices.

DOES THE PIP'S COMPANION APPS INCORPORATE AUDIO FEEDBACK?

The Pip’s companion app “The Loom” provides audio feedback. 

CAN MY CHILD USE PIP?

The Pip can be used by all age groups. But do not leave small children unsupervised.

The Pip apps are available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY PIP APPS?

You will be notified when an update is available by either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Charging the Pip
HOW DO I CHECK THE BATTERY LEVEL OF THE PIP?

To check the battery level off the Pip, simply use one of our companion apps. Once connected the Pip’s battery level will display on screen.

WHAT IS THE BATTERY LIFE?

If used continuously, the Pip battery runs for more than 8 hours on a single charge.

HOW DO I KNOW THE PIP IS FULLY CHARGED

the red indicator light switches off.

CAN I USE ANY MICRO-USB CHARGING CABLE TO CHARGE MY PIP?

Our real-time ordering system will authorize your card the moment you place your order and a settlement (debit) will likely occur straight away.

HOW DO I KNOW MY TRANSACTION IS SECURE?

Our store payments are secured by Stripe. Our website is also encrypted using HTTP protection, you can check our website security certificate at any time.

IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE?

Exchanges and Returns

WHAT IF MY PIP HAS ARRIVED DAMAGED?

Should the packaging that your Pip arrives in be damaged, firstly take a picture of the damaged packaging and secondly remove the packaging to check if the product is damaged. Please take a photo and submit a support ticket to our Customer Care Team: hello@thepip.com

WHAT IF MY PIP ARRIVES WITH MISSING PIECES (E.G. CHARGING CABLE, MISSING USER GUIDE)?

You are responsible for examining all shipments promptly upon receipt. If you discover any shortages or incorrect products in the shipment, please notify our Customer Care Team immediately at hello@thepip.com.

WHAT IF MY PIP IS FAULTY?

If you are within the warranty period and believe that your Pip is faulty as a result of defects in material or workmanship, please email our Customer Care Team at hello@thepip.com.

WHAT IF I WANT TO RETURN MY PIP AFTER 30 DAYS?

We accept returns of any undamaged Pips, provided you have used it for no more than 30 days from delivery and we receive it within 45 days from delivery.

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER OR CANCEL IT AFTER I'VE PLACED IT?

Due to our efforts to ensure efficient and accurate shipping procedures, we are typically unable to cancel or make changes to your order after it’s processed for shipping. Please make sure you contact hello@thepip.com immediately after placing the order, should you wish to cancel.

Free shipping applies to the following countries: USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. Subsidised shipping applies to all other countries. Shipping charges will show on checkout.

We ship the Pip globally. Please visit our US website for deliveries to: USA and Canada. Please visit our Australian website for deliveries to Australia. WILL DUTIES AND CUSTOMS TAXES BE INCLUDED IN THE SHIPPING PRICE?

Deliveries outside the EU may be subject to custom duties and local taxes. 

WHAT IF I ENTERED THE WRONG ADDRESS?

If after receiving a conformation email containing the given address, the customer should advise us of the mistake straight away. If not, we will attempt to make delivery. Once a failed delivery occurs, you customer will be contacted. If a change at this stage is required, the customer may be charged an additional fee. 

WHAT IF MY PACKAGE FAILED DELIVERY?

We will attempt to contact the customer upon a failed delivery. If we have not received contact from the customer within the given timeline. The package will be returned to our distribution centre in Dublin. For additional delivery attempts, there will be a shipping charge.

My Pip FAQ

What is My Pip?

My Pip is your cloud platform for better living. My Pip uses actionable data and insights to provide encouragement and keep you motivated as you learn to successfully manage stress and kickstart a life in control. 

Why do I need to sign up to My Pip?

Our newest app updates include full integration with the My Pip service. This means that a My Pip account is required in order to sync your Pip session data across all your smart devices. My Pip also allows you to change or upgrade your smart devices without the fear of losing any of your previous session data.

Is there a cost for My Pip?

My Pip is a free upgrade for all Pip users

Why won't My Pip remember my login password?

In accordance with HIPAA guidelines, we do not store your password locally on the device. This ensures the security of your data. You will only be asked for your password when you start an app, if you leave it running in the background, you will remain logged in until you shut the app down completely.

What Pip apps include My Pip?

Relax & Race, The Loom and Stress Tracker include My Pip. Every future app release will include My Pip.

Can I export my data into another format?

At this point in time, we do not support this function.

How do I change my password?

To change your password: Click on your profile image or name. Click Account. You’ll see your personal information and Password section. Enter your old password and new password, then click Update Password.

Can I change my email address?

No. The email you choose when registering with My Pip uniquely identifies your account and cannot be changed.

Can I deactivate my account?

To deactivate your account please email hello@thepip.com with the following information:

  • Email address associated with your account
  • Reason for deleting your account

To help speed deactivation, please send your request from the email address associated with the account you would like to deactivate.

Can I use My Pip if I don’t have a Pip?

You can create an account on My Pip but you won’t be able to start recording and viewing session data without a Pip.

Do I need to sync my data with My Pip?

No. At the end of a Pip session your data will sync automatically to My Pip via the internet. If you aren’t connected to the internet, it will sync the next time a connection is available.

How do I upload / change my profile picture?

Click on your profile image or name. Select Profile from the drop-down menu. Click the Edit Profile button displayed below your personal information. In the Profile picture section, click Choose file. Select a photo and press Update profile picture to save.

Do I have to be online to use My Pip?

You have to be online to register initially but all Pip apps have an offline capability. Your session data is stored locally until you are online again, then it is uploaded automatically.

How do I get my current app data onto My Pip?

Each of the apps have a built in migration feature which automatically syncs when you sign into My Pip for the first time.

How do I find out more about the individual My Pip panels

Click the “?” icon located on each panel to find out more information.

How do I add a note to my session?

Click the Sessions icon on the navigation bar. You will see all all your previous sessions, ranked by session date and time. The most recent will be listed at the top. Find the session to which you want to add the note and click the Eye icon on the right hand side to view the session details. Scroll down to the Notes section and click into the text entry box. Enter your session notes. Click Add a note to save your notes.

How many accounts can I setup on one Pip device?

My Pip allows multiple accounts for each Pip as My Pip identifies an individual user based on their email address.
